In case you forget your password or your Gmail account is not getting opened for certain reasons then, Gmail provides easy options to recover it.
If you have associated a phone number or alternate email address with your Gmail account, the Gmail can quickly reset your password by sending a text message on your associated phone number.
Steps to Reset the Password in Gmail Through a Text message
Step 1: To reset password in Gmail, go to gmail.com. Click on “Need help” option below the “Sign In” section.
Step 2: Choose “I don’t know my password” option. Enter your Gmail address into the field provided and click on “Continue”.
Step 3: Gmail will ask you to enter your last password you remembered into the field and click on “Continue” or if you don’t remember the last password just simply click on “I don’t know”.
Step 4: Now you have to select how you want to reset password either through a text message or through an automated phone call. I have selected through a text message and then click on ‘Continue”.
Step 5: Type in the code which you have received on your mobile number and click on “Continue”.
Step 6: Enter the new password and click on “Reset Password’.
Step 7: You have reset your password successfully. If you want to check your recovery details Click on “Review my recovery info”.
