Steps to access Gmail using Mozilla Thunderbird:

Step 1: First open your web browser and go to the official Mozilla Thunderbird website “www.mozilla.com” and then click on “Free Download” button, to download the latest version of Thunderbird mail.

Step 2: Click on “Save File” button, in order to save Thunderbird setup executable file.

Step 3: Now, go to your download folder and open “Thunderbird  Setup.exe”. Click on “Next” button to start the installation process.

Step 4: After your installation gets completed, click on the Thunderbird icon to open the Thunderbird mail client interface.

Step 5: Now, click on the rectangle icon which is at the top right corner of thunderbird mail screen to open Options > Account Settings.

Step 6: Under ‘account settings’, you may see “Account Actions.” Just click your mouse on that button to open “Add mail account” which is under account actions drop down.

Step 7: Under “Mail Account Setup” window, you’ve to fill your name, your email address and password and then click on “Continue” button.

Step 8: After that, Thundermail may take some time to configure. Just wait for a while and again click “Continue” button.

Step 9: Now, do check IMAP incoming and outgoing server configuration and then finally click on “Done” button.

Step 10: After that you’ll be redirected to Gmail account login page. Just type your user id and password and then click “Sign In” button.

Step 11: Click on “Allow” button to authenticate Thunderbird mail to access your Gmail account.

Step 12: Your Thunderbird mail is now integrated with your Gmail account. Just enjoy your time with this excellent email client.
