To access OneDrive, you must have your OneDrive account. OneDrive is cloud storage that allows you to place all your important files on the cloud and you can access them from anywhere and any device.
In this section, we will discuss the steps to access the OneDrive online and offline. So, let us start with the steps.
Steps to Access OneDrive Offline and Online:
Offline
Step 1: To access the OneDrive offline first open the OneDrive folder on your system.
Step 2: In the OneDrive folder you can view and access the present files and folders.
Step 3: In case you are offline and you have to create a file or a folder or want to modify any file and folder. Don’t worry just do your work and it will be updated once you are reconnected to the internet.
For example, I am offline and I have created a Meeting Info folder.
Inside the Meeting Info folder, I have placed a Meeting PPT.
Click on the OneDrive icon from the taskbar you can see that the created file is under updating process.
Now when the system is reconnected to the internet, the Meeting PPT get automatically updated to the OneDrive account.
Online
If you are not on your own system and still want to access OneDrive. Just follow the steps below
Step 1: Sign in to your OneDrive account using your login credentials. Once you are logged in to your OneDrive account you can view your files and folders as you can see in the image below:
Step 2: You can use and modify your files and folders being online and the modification will reflect on the OneDrive folder of your system when you will start your system with the internet connection.
Like I have created a new word document name Source in the Meeting Info folder. So, I have opened the folder and created a new word document.
After creating the word document, I have named it Source as you can see in the image below:
Now, I can view that Source word document in the OneDrive folder of my system when I have started it with the internet connection.
