Most of the Websites are now created using the WordPress and that’s why it is made in such a way that the webmaster can add extra features according to his choice by the use of Plugins.
The “Profile Builder-front-end user registration, login and edit profile” is one of the plugins through which the custom Registration / Login form in WordPress can be made easily to make your site look attractive.
In WordPress, Login form by default is only visible to the administrator of the site. But if you want to design it of your own, here is the process to install and customize the plugin that helps you to design your login form according to your choice.
Add Custom Registration / Login form in WordPress through
“Profile Builder-front-end user registration, login and edit profile”Plugin.
Steps to Download the Plugin.
Step 1: On Dashboard, select the “Plugins” option available on the right side and click on “Add New” under it.
Step 2: Then type “Profile Builder-front-end user registration, login and edit profile” in search section, click on “Search Plugin”.
Step 3: You may find the plugin in the top searched results, click on “Install Now”.
Step 4: A dialog box will appear conforming, if you are sure that you want to download the plugin.
click on “OK”.
Step 5: Your plugin is installed now, then click on “Activate Plugin”.
Step 6: Plugin is activated and you can see in the list as shown below.
Step 7: Hover a mouse on “Profile Builder” as shown on the Dashboard and then click on “General Settings”.
Step 8: Here you can customize the settings for “Login” and “Password Strength”.
I have fixed the “Minimum Password Strength” to medium. Click on “Save Changes”.
Step 9: After that go to “Settings” and click on “General” option under it.
Step 10: Under “Membership”, check on “Anyone can register” so that anyone can register on your site.
Step 11: Then you need to create the pages i.e login, register and recover password. Go to the pages and click on “Add New”.
Step 12: Give the title to the page as “Login”, under the body section insert the short code “wppb-login” as shown.
.Click on “Publish” option.
Step 13: Again go to “Add New”, name the page as “Register” and insert the short code “wppb-register” as shown in the image below, click “Publish”.
Step 14: Create a new page named as “Recover Password” and insert the code in body section “wppb-recover-password”, click “Publish”.
Step 15: To customize the login form go to “Appearance” then on “Widgets” under it.
Step 16: In “Available Widgets” panel “Profile Builder Login Widget” will appear click on it.
Select the widget area where you want the login form to be displayed, I have selected the “Secondary Widget Area” then click on “Add Widget”.
Step 17: Widget is now added, click on “Save”.
Step 18: Once you have completed all the steps, the login form and other “login”, “register” and “recover password” menus will appear, as shown in the image below.
