Steps to add notes in Gmail:
Step 1: You have to first login to your Gmail account by providing your email address and password and then click on “Sign In” button.
Step 2: Now, under Gmail dashboard, you may see a gear icon at the top right corner of your screen. Just click on that icon and then select “Settings” option.
Step 3: Under ‘Settings’ section, go to “Labels” tab as shown in the image below.
Step 4: Inside “Labels” tab, you may see a “Create new label” button. Just click on that button to create a new label.
Step 5: As soon as you click that button, you may experience a new window pops open. Just type the details of your label and then click “Create” button.
Step 6: After creating a label, it’s now time to create a filter. For that purpose, just traverse to the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab under ‘Settings’ option and then click on “Create a new filter” link as marked in the image below.
Step 7: Now, inside the filter window you may see different fields. Just go towards “To” field and type your Gmail email address with “+Notes” (for.eg. xyz+Notes@gmail.com) and then click on “Create filter with this search” link.
Step 8: Now, in the next window just checked “Start it” and “Also apply filter to n matching conversations”, where ‘n’ is the number of emails matching the provided keyword and then click on “Create Filter” button.
Step 9: Try to compose a mail with this newly created email (Xyz+note@gmail.com) in order to check whether your note is actually working or not. After clicking on “Send” button, you may notice your sent mail is reverted into your inbox, that means your notes is working absolutely fine.
