Windows provide various ways to customize your mouse cursor appearance and speed in different ways. You can even alter the functioning of mouse buttons, by swapping the function of left click to the right click and vice versa. You also have the option to alter the speed of the cursor. The appearance of the cursor can change with the theme you apply on your computer if you have enabled that functioning.

Steps to change Cursor in Windows 7:
Step 1: Click on the Windows Start button and go to Control Panel.
Step 2: A Control Panel window will get opened. Click on Hardware and Sound.
Step 3: Under Devices and Printers section, you have a Mouse button, click on the Mouse button.
Step 4: Mouse Properties window will be opened. Click on Pointers tab of the window to change the appearance of the cursor.
Step 5: In Pointers tab, click on Scheme drop-down list and select a new mouse pointer scheme. According to your selected scheme, cursors will appear under Customize section. Select the cursor of your choice from Customize section.
Below Customize section you have two checkboxes. First, Enable pointer Shadow and second Allow themes to change mouse pointers. Mark them if you want to apply their functioning to your cursor.
To view more cursors click on Browse button.
Step 6: A Browse window will get open which will provide you with various cursor options. Select one of your choices and click Open.
Step 7: After all the modification click on Apply button to make the changes permanent.
