Do you want to change the date and time in Windows 10? Well if you have enabled your device to synchronize its date and time with the internet time then you always get the correct date and time on your system. However, it might happen that if you are not using the internet over a long period the date or time of the system may be slightly incorrect.

Steps to Change Date and Time in Windows 10:
Method 1: Using System Settings
Step 1: Type Settings in the Windows search box and click open the Settings app. In the Settings window click on ‘Time & Language’.
Step 2: Now in the ‘Date & time’ settings first disable the system to synchronize the systems time with internet time automatically. For that, disable the toggle button ‘Set time automatically’.
Then to change the time manually, click on the ‘Change’ button.
Note: You can directly get this interface from the taskbar also. Right-click on the date and time present on the taskbar and then click on Adjust date/time.
Step 3: Change date and time window will pop up where you can easily modify the Date and Time. Once you set the date and time click on the Change button.
Method 2: Using Command Prompt
Step 1: Search for the command prompt in the Windows search box and then click open the Command Prompt app.
Note: Launch the command prompt app as administrator.
Step 2: In the command prompt window type the command ‘date‘ and press Enter.
As a result, this command will display the current date of your system and will ask you to enter the new date in the format dd-mm-yy.
Step 3: To change the time of your system you have to type the command ‘time’ and press Enter.
As a result, this command will display the current time of your system and will ask you to enter the new time in the format HH:MM:SS.
Method 3: Using Control Panel
Step 1: Search for the Control Panel in the Windows search box and click open the Control Panel app.
Step 2: In the command prompt window you have to click on ‘Clock and Region’.
Step 3: Further under Clock and Region you have to click on Date and Time.
Step 4: A Date and Time window will pop up where you have to click on the ‘Change Date and time…’ button under the Date and Time tab.
Step 5: Again, a Date and Time Settings window will pop up where under the Date section you can change the date and under the Time section, you can change time. Click on Apply and OK to save the changes.
Method 4: Using Windows PowerShell
Step 1: Type Windows PowerShell in the Window search box. From the displayed results right-click on the Windows PowerShell and click on run as administrator.
Step 2: The command required to change the date and time is: Set-Date -Date “MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM. You can use PM instead of AM if you want to change the time in PM.
So these are the four methods using which you can modify the date and time of your Windows 10 system.
