Steps to Change Default Language in Windows 10:
Method 1: Using Settings App
Step 1: Type ‘Settings’ in the Windows search box and from the displayed result click on the Settings App.
Step 2: In the Settings App window you have to click on ‘Time & Language’ as we require to change the language.
Step 3: Further in the navigation panel click on ‘Region & Language’.
Step 4: Under the Languages section you have to click on the ‘Add a Language’.
Step 5: From the list of languages click on the language you prefer.
Step 6: The selected language will start appearing in the Languages section as you can see in the image below.
Step 7: When you will click on your preferred language you can observe three options below the language i.e. ‘Set as default’, which will set the preferred language as your systems default language. You can edit the language using the Options button and remove the language using the Remove button.
Note: You have to restart the computer to see the change in the language.
Method 2: Using Control Panel
Step 1: Type Control Panel in the Windows search box and from the displayed result open the Control Panel app.
Step 2: In the Control Panel you have to click on ‘Clock, Language, and Region‘.
Step 3: Further, under ‘Clock, Language and Region’ in the Language section you have to click on ‘Add a language’ as you can see in the image below.
Step 4: Now to add a language you have to click on ‘Add a language’.
Step 5: From the list of available languages you have to select your preferred language and then click on Add.
Step 6: If your selected language package is not installed already then you will be asked to download and install the language package.
Once installed you have to restart the computer to see the change in the language.
