Steps to create a filter to block email in Gmail:
Step 1: First open your Gmail account by typing your email address and then click on “Next” button.
Step 2: Now, type your Gmail login password and then click on “Sign in” button.
Step 3: On the left side of your Gmail desktop, you’ll see your inbox option. Just click on the particular mail that you want to block.
Step 4: You may see “More” button at the top left corner of your screen. Just click on the downward triangle to open “Filter messages like these”.
Step 5: Now, you’ll see a new window pops open, i.e., Filter window. Here you’ve to type the sender’s email address under “Form” field and then click on “Create filter with this search” as shown in the image below.
Step 6: In the next window you’ll be able to configure your filter even more precisely. But in this article we are discussing blocking email by using a filter, so just click on “Delete it” option to mark a radio button. This option will disable this sender’s mail to appear in your inbox.
Step 7: Now, if you’ve multiple emails from that particular sender then you can easily block them by clicking on “Also apply filter to X matching conversation” and then click on “Create filter” button. (Note: Here X is the number of mails from a particular sender).
