Step to create a filter to sort emails and apply for label in Gmail:
Step 1: First open your Gmail account and after entering your email, click on “Next” button.
Step 2: After that, type your Gmail password and press “Sign in” button.
Step 3: Now, under Gmail dashboard you’ll see a gear icon at the top right side of your screen. Just click on that icon and then select “Settings”.
Step 4: Under Settings, go to “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
Step 5: Now, under “filter and blocked addresses” tab, click on “Create a new filter” linked as marked in the image.
Step 6: You’ll see new window pops open, i.e., Filter window. Now, to sort emails you’ve to enter relevant words inside “Has the words” fields and then click on “Create filter with this search”.
Step 7: In the next step you have to choose labels by using the drop down menu beside “Apply the label” option as we are selecting “Junk”.
Step 8: If you want to directly archive your emails then you can select “Skip the Inbox (Archive it)” radio button and then your messages won’t be displayed on your inbox.
Step 9: You can also select “Mark as read” radio button and then Finally click on “Create filter” button to create your filter.
