Hotmail is a web-based email service on the Internet that allowed users to access their inbox, across PCs, iPads, and Smartphones. It was launched in the year 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith. But, in the year 1997, it was purchased by Microsoft and later in the year 2012it was renamed as Outlook.
Though today the Hotmail does not exist, if you write hotmail.com in the URL it will redirect you to the outlook.com. Microsoft has not asked the users to change their old email ids with *******@hotmail.com to ********@outlook.com.
