How to Create a System Restore Point in Windows 7

The System restore is one of the essential factors to keep your system safe and run smoothly. It’s basically used to restore your system to the previous state when it was running flawlessly.

And the need to do this is very common, it can be at times, you have installed a new software which unexpectedly degrades your system’s performance, so at that time you will think of the system restore.

Creating a system restore point plays a vital role, that’s why it is recommended to create it every time you install a new software. Through this article you will learn to create a system restore point in Windows 7 by following the simple steps as explained below.

Steps to Create a System Restore Point in Windows 7

Method 1 of 2:

Step 1: Go to “Start “, and hover a mouse on “Computer”.

Step 2: Right click on “Computer”option and then click on “Properties”.

Step 3: On the left side bar, you will see the “System Protection” link, click on it.

Step 4: Tap on “Create” button to set restore point as shown in the figure below.

Step 5: Type the name of the software or program you have installed, so it would be easier to find out the restore point.

The date and time will automatically get added to it.

Method 2 of 2:

Step 1: Go to “Start” then click on “Control Panel”.

Step 2: Click on “System and Security”.

Step 3: Now go to “System” option.

Note: The rest of the steps are similar to the above method,  follow the “Step 3 to 5” of the first method.
