When you require, you can enable the Add-ons again. Well, Mozilla allows deciding which add-on you want to disable and which you want active. Disabling the add-on won’t clear your system’s space. It will be for sure present in your system but in the deactivated mode.

Steps to Disable Add-ons in Firefox:
Step 1: Open your Mozilla Firefox web browser. Now at the top right corner of the screen, you have a menu button. Click that menu button and from the displayed menu you have to click on Add-ons as you can see in the image below.
Step 2: A new Add-ons Manager tab will be opened in the same window. At the left side of the window, you can see the index. From the index click on Extensions.
If you have to disable a Themes add-on then click on Themes from the index. If you want to disable plug-ins add-on click on Plugins from the index.
Step 3: As I am disabling the extension add-on, I can see Manage your Extension section. According to your choice, you can get Manage your Themes or Manage your Plugins section.
Now to disable the Add-on just click on the blue toggle. It will disable your add-on.
In future, if want the add-on feature again, just click that toggle button again to enable the add-on.
