Steps to Fade in and Fade Out Video in Power Director
Method 1 Using Transition Room
Step 1: First import the video on which you want to add the fade in and fade out transition on the timeline. Click on the video in the timeline to select it.
Step 2: At the left side of the Power Director window you have to click on the ‘Transition Room’ icon as you can see in the image below, to enter this transition room.
Step 3: You will find the Fade transition in the ‘General’ option so at the left index of the window click on ‘General’. Now search for the Fade transition in General.
Step 4: To add a fade-in transition to video drag the Fade transition to the starting of video and to add the fade-out transition in video drag the Fade transition to the end of the video as you can see in the image below.
Step 5: You can adjust the start and end time of the fade transition by hovering the cursor over the transition edges and dragging it in and out as you can see in the image below.
In case you want to remove the fade in and fade out the transition from the video simply click on the fade transition clip on the video and it will prompt a delete option on the timeline. Click on delete icon to delete the added transition clip.
Method 2: Using PiP Designer
Step 1: Click on the video clip on which you want to add the fade-in and fade-out transition and click on the Designer drop-down option to get PiP Designer window.
Step 2: In PiP Designer window, at the left-hand side under Properties ‘enable’ fade-in and fade-out.
Step 3: The above steps will add the opacity keyframes to your video.
You can drag the keyframes to adjust the fade-in and fade-out time.
Step 1: To add the volume keyframe you have to press hold the Control button and click on the volume track.
Step 2: Now simply drag up and down the volume keyframes to adjust the fade in and fade out time.
