Dark mode on iPhone has been introduced lately in Sept 2019. Switching to dark mode is beneficial to your eyes when the lights around you are turned off. Most of us are using our mobile day and night almost spending 11 hours a day.
Using bright light for such a long duration damages your eye and even suppress the secretion of the melatonin hormone that is required for sleep. All this leads to dry, itchy and painful eyes. To cope up with all this iPhone has also introduced the dark mode in all its new models.
In this section, we will discuss how you can switch to the darker mode in your iPhone. It is all about one toggle button that makes you switch to the darker mode and even you can customize the duration of the darker mode in your iPhone.
Steps to Get Dark Mode on iPhone:
Method 1 of 2: Using Settings
Step 1: Unlock your iPhone and tap on the Settings icon as shown in the image below.
Step 2: In Settings scroll down below to get ‘Display & Brightness’ and then tap on ‘Display & Brightness’.
Step 3: Under Appearance, you have to tap the radio button below the ‘Dark’ mode to enable the dark mode.
Later you can even set this mode switching to automatic by switching on the toggle button ‘Automatic’ under ‘Display & Brightness’.
For further settings to darker mode tap on the Options tab.
You can schedule the darker mode in your iPhone starting from sunset to sunrise.
Or you can even customize the setting to a darker mode. For that tap on Custom Schedule.
And then set the time from when the ‘Light’ mode will start and from when the ‘Dark’ mode should start.
Method 2 of 2: Using Shortcut
Step 1: Swap on your iPhone from the right corner of your iPhone to the bottom.
Step 2: Here tap and hold on to the brightness control icon.
It will lead you to the Dark Mode icon you can directly switch on and off the darker mode by tapping this button.
