Want to hide apps on iPhone? Sometimes you really need to hide apps either to avoid your parent confronting you or sometimes to prevent anyone from accessing apps on your iPhone. Hiding apps on iPhone is just that the apps don’t appear on your home screen but they are there on your iPhone and you can use them whenever required.
In this content, we are going to discuss a few methods that you can use to hide apps on your iPhone.
Steps to Hide Apps on iPhone:
Method 1 Using Restriction
Step 1: Unlock the iPhone and tap on the Settings app to open the application.
Step 2: On the Settings page search for the ‘Screen Time’ and tap on it.
Step 3: First check whether you have set the screen time passcode or not. If not then set the screen time passcode and then tap on the ‘Content & Privacy Restrictions’ tab.
Step 4: Now enable the ‘Content & Privacy Restriction’ by enabling the toggle button beside it.
Now, tap on the ‘Allowed Apps’ tab to proceed further.
Step 5: Enter the screen time passcode. This is where the screen time passcode is important, as this password is only known to you and no one can make the changes to the settings.
Now, you can select the apps that you want to hide and tap the toggle button beside the app names. As in the image below you can see that I have disabled the toggle button beside the Safari app and Health app.
You can now check your home screen to verify whether the app you disabled are now not appearing on your screen.
Method 2 Using Content Restrictions
This option is for the third-party apps that have age restrictions like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram etc.
Step 1: Being in the ‘Content & Privacy Restrictions’ tab, just tap on the ‘Content Restrictions’ tab.
Step 2: Next enter the screen time passcode that is only with you.
Step 3: On the Content Restriction page you have to tap on the ‘Apps’ tab.
Step 4: Now select the age limit to restrict or hide the app you want.
Method 3 Hiding Apps within Folder
Step 1: Press hold and drag the app over another app to create a folder for these apps.
Now, tap the created folder and verify that both the apps are present in the folder.
Step 2: In the folder itself again press hold and drag the app you want to hide to the right side of the folder.
It will just create a new page in the folder as you can see in the image below.
Back to the home page, you can see as I have hidden the YouTube app on the next page of the folder it is not appearing in the folder icon.
So that’s all about the methods you can use to hide apps from the iPhone.
