Want to make your PowerPoint presentation more attractive. One of the ways to do it this is by inserting “watermark” in your PowerPoint presentation. Creating a PowerPoint presentation with the watermark makes your presentation more appealing. You can make a “picture or a text box”, as your watermark to the slides in the presentation. In this article, I used a picture to insert as a watermark in the PowerPoint presentation. So, let’s begin with the process.
Steps to Insert Watermark In a PowerPoint presentation:
Step 1: Open a file of “PowerPoint”, on your screen. After you opened a PowerPoint, you will see the various options at the top of the file like ‘Home, Insert, Desing, Animation, SlideShow, Review and View’. You have to click on the “View” option to proceed further.
Step 2: Under View option, you have various “Presentation Views” like:
- Normal View: – View the presentation in Normal View.
- Slide Sorter: – View the entire presentation in Slide Sorter view to easily rearrange the slides.
- Notes Page: – View the Notes Page to edit the speaker notes as they will look when you print the presentation.
- Slide Show: – To start the slide show.
- Slide Master: – Open Slide Master view to change the design and layout of the master slides.
- Handout Master: – Open Handout Master view to change the design and layout of printed handout.
- Notes Master: – To open Notes Master view.
You have to click on “Slide Master” option to change the layout of a master slide.
Step 3: “Slide Master” view will provide the all the master slides in the different layout, to the left-hand side of your file. You need to choose the slide with the layout of your choice. I simply chose the first one; you can choose one from your choice.
step 4: Now go the “Insert” tab which appears at the top of the file, as we need to insert the picture as watermark next you click on “Picture” option of the Insert menu.
Step 5: A dialog box will appear after you click on “Picture” option. Now you choose the location from where you want to select a picture and click on the picture of your choice. I selected a picture of “Tulips”. So now click on the “Insert” below.
Step 6: After step 5, the picture you selected will appear in front of your slide. As the watermark appears behind all the illustrations of your slide, click on the “Send to Back” menu which appears at the top of you file, in the popup window again select “Send to Back”.
Step 7: To set the brightness of the picture you can click on the “Format tab which appears at the top of your file. Format menu contains various options to change the format of the picture. Like you can set the “Brightness” of a picture. As I adjust the brightness to “+20%”.
Step 8: Next you can “Recolour” the picture, to let it appear light choose the “Light Variations”. You also have “More Variation” option which provides you with more color to choose. I selected the color from Light Variation.
Step 9: If you want you can also change the picture style also which appear at top-mid of the screen, you can choose the one you like. As I chose “Soft Edge Rectangle”.
Step 10: Now again go to Slide Master tab which now appears at the left corner on top of the screen and click on the “Close Master View”.
Done with the process now, you have inserted the watermark to a layout of your choice.
Now if you add a new slide to the existing presentation and if you want to select the same watermark and layout. You can select it from the “Layout” options, or you want to create a new watermark for new slide then follow the steps above.
Hope this is useful. Keep reading.
