How to Login to OneDrive?

Do you want to login to your OneDrive account?  If you have changed your system or using the OneDrive for the first time then for sure you have to login into it first. You can log in to OneDrive either using the web browser or by OneDrive app installed on your system or your mobile.

Nowadays Windows 10 has a built-in OneDrive app so, there is no need to download it. In this section, we will see in how many ways we can log in to OneDrive.

  1. Log in to OneDrive via Web Browser
  2. Login to OneDrive via System OneDrive App

Steps to Login to OneDrive:

Via Web Browser

When you are away from your system and still want to access the important files that you have uploaded to your OneDrive cloud storage, you can access them by logging in to your OneDrive account via a web browser.

Step 1: Launch any of the web browsers on your system and in its address bar type the URL www.office.com and press Enter. In the Microsoft Office website, you have to click on the Sign-in button to log in to your Office account.

Step 2: Enter your login credentials i.e. user id and password.

Step 3: After logging in you can view the several office apps as you can see in the image below. Click on the OneDrive app.

Now, you have successfully logged in to your OneDrive account and you can see the files and folders you have in your OneDrive storage.

Via System OneDrive App

You can also login to OneDrive via the OneDrive app you have installed on your system. The Windows 10 operating system has an inbuilt OneDrive app.

Step 1: Type OneDrive in the search box, and when found click on it to open it.

Step 2: OneDrive app opens and requests you to enter your user id and password and then click on Sign in.

Step 3: ‘Your OneDrive Folder’ dialog box will appear, if you want to change the location of your OneDrive folder then you change it from ‘Change location’ otherwise click on Next.

Step 4: An alert notification occurs that the system already has an OneDrive folder. If you are the same user of this folder then click on Use this folder.

If you have logged in with the different account then you must choose a new location otherwise the OneDrive folder will combine files from two accounts. If you are a user with a different account click on Choose new folder and then browse for a new location for your OneDrive folder to avoid mixing up of files and folder of two accounts.

Step 5: Then follow the OneDrive instruction and proceed by clicking on Next.

At last, you will find an ‘Open my OneDrive folder’ click it to open your OneDrive folder.

As you can see in the image below you have logged in successfully and you can view your files and folders in OneDrive.

So, these are the two methods to login to OneDrive. You can also use your mobile OneDrive app to log in and access your OneDrive files and folders.
