If you want to be aware of the changes which occur to your files, folders, shared folders in Dropbox, or if there occur any comment on the file and folders in the Dropbox. You have to turn on the notification of your desktop application, or if you are using an iOS device then enable its push notifications. So whenever the changes will occur, the application will notify you about the changes that occurred in the dropbox. Steps to notify the changes in Dropbox
Step 1: If you are a window or Linux user go to the system tray present at the right bottom corner of your screen and click on Dropbox icon. In case you are a MAC user go to the menu bar and click on the Dropbox icon present there. As I am a Windows user, the below image represent the system tray in Windows.
Step 2: A box will pop up showing the updates in the dropbox click on the gear icon, a pull-down menu, present at top right corner of the popped up box.
Step 3: A list of options will pop up, from the options click on Preferences.
Step 4: A Dropbox Preferences dialog box will get opened click on the General tab. Under General tab, you will find a Notify me about section, which has two checkboxes. One checkbox is a comment, shares, or @mentions which will notify you about any comment, shares or @mentions regarding your files in Dropbox. The other is Synced files, which notify you about the changes in synchronized files. Check or uncheck the boxes to confirm which notifications, you want to receive.
Click on Apply and OK.
