It happens sometimes unknowingly or by mistake, we delete an important email and regret of doing so. But, relax you can recover deleted emails in Gmail. Whenever you delete any mail from Inbox in Gmail it gets stored in Bin (earlier known as Trash).
The deleted emails stay in Bin for only 30 days. So, if you want to recover any deleted email you have to recover it in within 30 days from the day you delete it. In this section, we will discuss the steps to recover deleted emails in Gmail.
Steps to Recover Deleted Emails in Gmail:
Step 1: To recover the deleted emails of your Gmail account first you must login to your Gmail account.
Enter your Gmail-id and password and click Next.
Step 2: After logging in successfully you will observe a menu at the left side of your screen. In the menu click on Bin. Earlier the Bin was also known as ‘Trash’.
The Bin contains all the messages that you delete from Inbox. At the top of Bin mails, you have a message:
“Messages that have been in Bin for more than 30 days will be deleted automatically.”
So, if you want to recover deleted emails in Gmail be sure you do that within 30 days from the day you delete it from the inbox. As the mail will not exist in Bin after 30 days.
Step 3: Now, as you are in the Bin section, select an email from the Bin emails that you want to recover and right-click on it. You will view some options, among them click on Move to.
Step 4: As you click on ‘Move to’ again some options will appear, among them click on Inbox.
Step 5: Your action in Step 4 will move the email in Bin section to the Inbox of your account.
You can view the Action completed message at the left bottom of the screen which confirms that the email from Bin has been moved to the Inbox.
Step 6: Now, go to the Inbox section, here you can see that your deleted email has been recovered.
