When your Firefox browser troubles you, or it’s getting slower, refreshing or resetting your Firefox browser is the best option. Don’t worry your essential information like cookies, bookmarks, and saved passwords won’t be removed, it will be there in your refreshed version of Firefox. Steps to reset Mozilla Firefox:
Step 1: Click on the menu bar of the Mozilla Firefox that appears on the right corner of your browser window. At the bottom of the popped menu list click on Help (?) Menu icon.
Step 2: A list of Help options will be displayed. Click on Troubleshooting information.
Step 3: A new Troubleshooting Information tab will be opened within the same browser window. On the right side of the browser’s window, you have a Refresh Firefox button. Click it.
Step 4: A Refresh Firefox confirmation dialog box is opened. Which will confirm that whether you really want to refresh Firefox? If you are sure, click on Refresh Firefox.
Step 5: An Import Wizard dialog box will open. It informs you what it has imported from the older setting of Firefox and which will retain in refreshed version of Firefox.
Step 6: Now when you will open the Firefox you can observe its improved speed, and your saved password, History, Window tabs cookies and other important data has retained in the refreshed Firefox.
Step 7: You can notice that Old Firefox profile has been stored on your desktop in a folder “Old Firefox Data“. In case your problem is not solved even after refreshing you can restore your older Firefox profile. If this folder is not needed anymore, you can delete it.
