Appointments are the scheduled by the user for performing a specific work that does not require to invite other peoples or reserve resources. If you feel, you can hide your appointment details from other users in Outlook. You can also set the priority of the appointments. So let us proceed with the steps for How to Schedule Appointments in MS Outlook 2016?
Steps to Schedule Appointment in MS Outlook 2016:
Step 1: Open your MS Outlook 2016 application on your screen, open the Calendar folder for that click on the calendar symbol present at the left bottom of the application window. Then under Home tab in New group click on New Appointment.
Step 2: A new Untitled Appointment window will open. Type the Subject and Location of the appointment. Select any one of the following:
Start time and End time: It defines a finite and exact time in the date of appointment.
All day event: It defines the entire day of appointment as an appointment event.
Step 3: For verifying that your Appointment time doesn’t clash with any scheduled event, click on the Scheduling button present in Show group of the Appointment tab. In the image below you can see that my appointment time doesn’t clash with any scheduled event. So I will move on with the decided appointment time. If your appointment time clashes with any scheduled appointment you can reschedule your appointment time just by dragging the blue strip over the time slot.
Step 4: You can set availability status by setting Show As box, You can set a reminder for the appointment using Reminder box. You can also set recurrences for the appointment. If you do not want to show the details of the appointment to others the click the Private button under Tags group of Meeting tab in Appointment window. You can also mark the appointment as high or low priority using High Importance and Low Importance button in Tags group.
Step 5: If required, type some notes regarding the appointment, then Save and close using Save & Close button in Action group of Meeting tab in Appointment window.
