Step 1: Right-click on the Dropbox icon present in the system tray of your computer.
Step 2: An Up to date dialog box will pop up showing the recent updates in your Dropbox folder. Clik on the gear icon present at the top right corner of the dialog box.
Step 3: A list of options will pop up. Among the popped options click on Preferences.
Step 4: A Dropbox Preferences dialog box will pop out. Click on the Account tab.
Step 5: Under Accounts tab you have a Selective Sync. section, under which you have a button Selective Sync. Click on the Selective Sync. button.
Step 6: A Selective Sync. dialog box will get open. It will list all the folders present in your Dropbox account. Check mark the folders that you want to synchronize with the computer. The Folders which remained unchecked will not appear in your computer’s local Dropbox folder. Though, it will be there on your Dropbox account and your other devices that are synchronised with the Dropbox.
Step 7: A confirmation dialog box, Update Select Sync. setting? will pop up. To confirm the selective sync. setting click OK.
