Dropbox allow you share a folder or a file with others, and it also allows you to share a link to that file or a folder in your Dropbox with the others. Using this link, they can directly access the file or folder to which link belongs. The people with whom you share the link of a file or a folder need not have an account on Dropbox to access the file or folder of the link. The people who have the shared link can view the corresponding file or folder, can comment on files/folders, or they can download a copy of the corresponding file and folder. Steps to Share a Link in Dropbox:
Step 1: Log in to the Dropbox website using your credentials.
Step 2: Among the files in your Dropbox choose a file of which you want to share the link. Right click on that file and a Share button will appear to its left side. Click on the Share button. For demonstration, I have chosen a Koala’s image.
Step 3: A dialog box will pop up. Click on the Create a link button; it will create a link for that particular file in your Dropbox.
Step 4: Now click on the Copy link button. It will copy the created link to your keyboard.
Step 5: You can paste the link to the URL to see whether this link leads to your file or not. Or you can paste the link to the text document for the later use.
Now, to share the link with other people you can send this link to them through email, messages. etc.
You can create a link for any file and folder.
