There several methods using which you can take a screenshot in windows 10. You can even employ third-party app for this purpose but I really think you don’t need to as Window has few inbuilt methods to take the screenshot which will definitely fulfil your requirement.

Steps to Take a Screenshot on Windows 10:
Method 1 of 3: Using PrtScr Button on Keyboard
Step 1: Be on the platform of which you want take a screenshot and from the keyboard tap on PrtScr button. Hold on, this action of you has only taken a snapshot of what is on your screen. Further, we have to save this screenshot.
Step 2: Search for the Paint app in the Windows search box and click Paint to open it.
Step 3: When the Paint app gets opened just paste. You can use the Paste button in the Home tab under the Clipboard group or simple press ‘Ctrl+V’.
You can edit the screenshot if you want else save the screenshot as an image with jpeg, png, BMP, gif or other formats. For saving the screenshot as an image go to the File>Save-as and select the format.
Method 2 of 3: Using OneNote
This method is only applicable to OneNote 2016 and if you have enabled OneNote app for taking screen clipping.
Note: The Windows 10 inbuilt OneNote app does not have this feature.
Step 1: Press Window Logo key+Shift+S and it would allow you to take the screenshot. Press left-click and drag your cursor to take the screenshot.
Step 2: Once you have taken the screenshot, OneNote will ask you where you want to save it. Click on Copy to Clipboard.
Then paste the screenshot on Paint app and save it in any of the image formats.
Method 3 of 3: Using the Snipping Tool
Step 1: Search for the Snipping Tool app in the Windows search box.
Step 2: Now set the Mode of taking the screenshot. You have options like Free-form Snip, Rectangular Snip, Window Snip, Full-screen Snip.
Step 3: Take the screenshot and the taken screenshot will appear on the Snipping Tool app save it in any of the image formats.
