Steps to Update Google Chrome
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and click on the three-dot button called Vertical Ellipsis located at the upper-right corner.
This opens the Chrome Main Menu. It contains various options like opening new Tab/Window, Editing Tools( cut, copy, paste), History, Settings etc.
Step 2: Go to “Help” in the menu and select “About Google Chrome” from the help sub-menu.
As you click, a new window opens up. It displays a message “Checking for the updates” with a spinning wheel.
It will give either of the following results.
- If a pending update is found, it starts downloading the update automatically.
After finishing the download, you are asked to relaunch the Google Chrome browser in order to install the updates.
- In case, the system is already updated, it displays a message “Google Chrome is up to date” which is followed by the version number.
Step 3: As you relaunch Google Chrome, the update gets installed. Your browser will now run on the latest version.
