How to Use Broadcast in WhatsApp? (with Images)

Have you ever used broadcast feature in WhatsApp? Broadcasting in WhatsApp means sending the same message to several contacts in your WhatsApp contact list at once. If you have to frequently send similar messages to a group of people, then you can create a broadcast list for your ease.

It seems that the WhatsApp broadcast and group are similar but they do have a major difference. In WhatsApp group, the receivers can see other recipients of the message also. But, in WhatsApp broadcast, the recipients are unable to see other recipients of the broadcast list.

In this section, we will discuss the broadcast feature of WhatsApp.

Steps to Use Broadcast in WhatsApp:

Create Broadcast List

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app on your phone and to create a broadcast list tap on More Options denoted by three vertical dots at the top right corner of the WhatsApp screen as you can see in the image below.

Step 2: From the displayed result tap on ‘New broadcast’, it will allow you to create a new broadcast list.

Step 3: Your WhatsApp contact list will appear on your screen and here you have to select the contacts that you want to add in your broadcast list. Once you select the contacts tap on the Done button.

Now your broadcast list is created and now you can send messages.

Edit the Broadcast List

Step 1: To edit the broadcast list you have to tap on the broadcast list in the CHATS tab this will open the broadcast chat.

Step 2: In the broadcast chat screen at the top right corner you to tap on more option icon denoted by three vertical dots.

Step 3: From the displayed options you have to tap on ‘Broadcast list info’.

Step 4: Further to edit the recipients tap on ‘Edit Recipients’.

And now you can add or remove the recipients and after editing tap on Done.

You can even name this broadcast list.

Scroll down and you will also get an option to delete the broadcast list.

To delete the broadcast list, you can use an alternative option, in the CHATS tab press and hold the broadcast list and you will get the option to delete the list.
