How do you keep an e-mail from appearing in your junk e-mail folder? Outlook introduces you with the most interesting feature that is Whitelist. The Whitelist or Safe Sender’s list refers to the list which is mostly used with e-mail applications and allows you to add senders or messages to your whitelist.
It allows you to specify the list of e-mail address of senders which you may wish to see in your inbox rather than in your spam. It even allows you to compile the list of domain names which you may want to be delivered in to your inbox only.
Each time when you get the message from the sender which you have listed in your save senders list, you will get those in your inbox only. You may also send your e-mail messages in your whitelist according to your requirements.
Here are some steps which teaches you how to whitelist in Outlook 2010.
Steps to Whitelist in Outlook 2010
Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook 2010. Go to “Home” tab at the top of the menu bar.
Step 2: You may find “Delete” section in “Home” tab. There in “Delete” section, you may see “Junk” option.
Step 3: Click on “Junk” drop down arrow in the “Junk” option and click on “Junk E-mail Options…”.
Step 4: “Junk E-mail Options” dialog box will open . Click on the “Safe Senders” tab at the top ribbon and then click on “Add” button in the right side of the screen
Step 5: Now you need to enter the e-mail address of the person whom you want to add in your whitelist. When you enter the e-mail address, click “OK”.
Step 6: Once you add the address, you may find the address in your whitelist as shown in the image.
If you want to edit the e-mail address, you can edit it by clicking on “Edit…” button in the right side of the screen.
If you want to remove any e-mail address, you can remove it by simply clicking on “Remove” button.
Click “OK” to close the “Junk E-mail Options” window.
