Importing means copying data files from other files to Outlook. Importing your contacts helps you to save time from manually re-entering all the data which you need to copy.

Steps to Import Contacts in Outlook 2010
Step 1: First of all open your Microsoft Outlook 2010 in your computer system and wait for some time till the page loads.
Step 2: Click on “File” tab on the top menu and select “Open” from the left panel.
Step 3: You may find several options, from which you need to click on “Import”.
Step 4: “Import and Export Wizard” window will appear, select “Import from another program or file” option and then, click on “Next”.
Step 5: Now select the type of the file you need to import. Most commonly used file type is “Comma separated Values (Windows)”.
But if you exported your contacts from some other file type like “Outlook Data File (.pst)”, you must have to import your contacts from “Outlook Data File (.pst)”.
Click on “Next”.
Step 6: Browse your data file from your computer and click on “Next”.
Step 7: Now you need to select the file which you want to import.
Here we are importing contacts, select “Contacts” from the list and click on “Next” to continue.
